Alief Area Scouting Breakfast

 

A breakfast for community leaders to come and learn about the importance of Scouting in the Alief area from two important community leaders: Clay Williams, COO of National Oilwell Varco, and H.D. Chambers, Superintendent of Alief ISD.  

The breakfast was held held at Westchase Marriott from 7:00 to 8:00 AM on May 9th. Thank you to all that attended.

Welcome to Tatanka District

The Tatanka District serves the Alief area of Houston, TX.
We currently have 730 scouts and 500 adult volunteers.

 
Scout Fair 2013

Saturday, April 13th / 10:00 - 3pm / Reliant Arena

Register Your Unit | More Information

Scouts from 16 counties will unite at Reliant Arena to showcase their Scouting skills and participate in fun-filled activities. Participate in a unit booth to display your unit's skills, activities and show others what makes your unit the "Best Unit on Earth." 
 
Someone from each unit must attend the kickoff meeting.

2012 Tatanka District Award Recipients

We are proud to announce that Tatanka has been awarded Bronze at the district level in Journey to Excellence for 2012. As a district, we are very proud of all of the adult volunteers that we have and we know this could not have been accomplished without your help. In addition, we would also like to recognize the following individuals and groups for their efforts in the past year:
